The URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor and Blackmagic RAW were developed together to streamline 12-bit 12K RAW workflows. Thanks to the efficient new generation Blackmagic RAW codec you can shoot in 12K and edit the material on your laptop, not possible with any other codec. The sensor's immense resolution gives you the freedom to reframe footage in post-production for export in 8K and 4K. It will be like achieving a multi-camera project from a single camera, perfect even for portrait and square formats. The advanced design of the sensor and Blackmagic RAW allows you to work in post at any resolution and edit the video without necessarily having to render it before the final version, while maintaining the original color accuracy.

Another highlight of Blackmagic RAW is that it offers flexible recording options including dual capture to CFast 2.0 or SD UHS II cards even in frame rates! Also present is the high-speed USB Type-C output. Choose between Constant Quality and Constant Bitrate encoding according to your needs. Use the Q0 and Q5 costed quality options, or the new Q1 and Q3 choices to lock the quality level and enable compression levels to suit, matching each scene's detail levels and changing its degree of compression according to its complexity. Switch to Constant Bit Rate 5:1, 8:1 or 12:1 options or the new 18:1 choice if you prefer optimal images with consistent and predictable file sizes.

Blackmagic RAW saves camera metadata, lens data, white balance, digital clapperboard information and custom LUTs to ensure consistent images from set to post production. Filming in 12K RAW means you have complete control of detail, exposure and color in post production. In addition, Blackmagic RAW was developed to speed up 12K post-production, making it as simple as classic HD or Ultra HD files. It is highly optimized, multithreaded, and compatible with multiple CPU cores and GPU acceleration to work with Apple Metal, CUDA, and OpenCL. This allows you to use RAW camera files directly, without proxies. Blackmagic RAW images provide unmatched resolution and quality for color, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization and tracking in 4K or 8K.
